Default I need advice. Thank you and sorry for bothering.

My exam is in a month. Unfortantely my school obligated me to take it since there is a deadline. I asked to postpone it which they said no. I started studying pretty well until these past 2 months where everything went downhill. A lot of personal stuff all of a sudden started happening, including a close friend of mine dying two weeks ago. Ive been going thru a hard time and struggling with studying. I think I feel so overwhelmed and anxious of all that I have to go thru because of timing that Im actually not being able to enjoy and focus how I want to. Ive been using PATHOMA, FIRST AID and UWORLD. In UWORLD I have done only 860 questions with a 67th percentile and 63% questions only correct. However, Ihave learned from it but I feel I have forgotten stuff.

I was wondering what you recommend me to do regarding studying for the exam for this month. I havent done micro or pharm that much so I started sketchy yesterday because I feel that doing that I can at least those questions right since there straighfoward VS not getting them right when they are easy points why miss them? However, I dont know if its a waste or time or maybe time consuming if I do that? Havent touched biostats or behavioral and biochem, however, i am good at biochem so I felt to leave it more for the end.

I was thinking to do all old version nbmes as more as a studying tool of reading the questions and explanations instead of taking hours doing them and then seen answers and only doing new versions as test taking and UWSA since I dont have that much time. I have also tought on just reading explanations of questions of UWORLD instead of doing questions and then reading since I also dont have that much time.

Please can someone give me advice. Im really fustrated, sad and worried. This wasnt how I planned my studying for STEP 1 to go or how to take it. I wish my school wasnt that rough on me.

Thank you for your time on answering by the way.

P.S. If someone by any chance has the explanations of NBMEs or the UWORLD 2016 offline with explanations please can you let me know? Im desperate right now. Thank you.

First of all, Don't risk taking the exam if you are not prepared. Schools try to push students to take the exam. But what are they going to do if you didn't?! the same thing they will do if someone failed!

I would go against reading explanations directly from UW without doing the questions. it is very important to do the questions and get used to the tricks.

I found DIT ( Doctors in Training ) videos very helpful. they don't consume time and explain FA directly.

I have also started doing some videos. I have almost done all Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Here is the link to my Youtube channel https://youtu.be/O9lU6lTxCdw

NBMEs don't have explanations. you would have to search for others opinion in the forums which is time cosuming.
