Generally speaking most old IMG rely on Kaplan Lecture Notes to start their Step 1 preparation journey.
There are two threads that I want you to read carefully Here's the links Since you are likely to have forgotten basic sciences concepts then you probably need a good 9-12 months preparation time. |

Take the Kaplan Webprep, this will give you the up to date notes and lectures. Get the PASS Program lectures and his book to bring everything together. Go lots of questions while you do these. You will need to do over 5000 questions to get back to where you were. Favorite Qbanks are:
DO them all Don't try and save money, if you want early 2011 write date and you want to do the work, then buy all the stuff and get the up to date information. Last edited by rasheed; 07-30-2010 at 10:05 AM. Reason: Linking text |

Disagree with Peewee completely,
Don't start with First Aid. This will be confusing for you. First aid has just outlines with no background information and it will be confusing. Maybe peewee meant the first introductory section of First Aid only in that case yes it's OK to start with it. Start with Kaplan notes, you don't need Webprep for that. Webprep price is $1800 and all you need from that is the notes which are available from Amazon as low as $300 and they are the latest version. Don't do USMLERx, Do Kaplan, UWorld and USMLE Consult. Good luck Last edited by rasheed; 07-30-2010 at 10:05 AM. Reason: Linking text |

I would also suggest Kaplan for your exam preparation. If you would like a contact within one of the centers here in the US I will be happy to provide that for you just send me a message
