Default USMLE step attempt, please help :toosad:

I will not taking the USMLE Step 1 on this coming Wednesday, 29th March 2017 (after extending the eligibility period). And I plan to reapply it again. Should I officially cancel my test with the Prometric Center? It has too much fee (around 276 usd). Or just not go to the Prometric Center.

According to USMLE 2017 bulletin, If I do not go for taking exam without cancellation, Am I counted as having had a USMLE step attempt?

I am worrying about that, please help

I cancelled a few days back (that is >5 days before exam, but less than 30), and there was no requirement to pay to cancel with prometric. Maybe it is associated with rescheduling. Could anyone confirm?

They might require it when again applying for the exam (though I doubt it). But, then it is what it is.
