i'm reading through it quite fast, and then looking at the charts at the end of the chapters.
i then sometimes scan over microbio from kaplan lecture notes. i've noticed that there's info in the kaplan books not in MMRS, and sometimes, the the way around. is the 2nd edition for microbio still relevant? and is it true, that if we memorize all the tables + first aid, that's all we need to really know for micro? (currently, edition 5 is out) Last edited by ReggieMiller; 11-20-2012 at 05:39 AM. |

But reading the book makes a difference. I like reviewing the concepts to solidify the tables, to the point where I can gloss over the tables, and visualize them in my own mind, without having to memorize any of it. I haven't read any of the Kaplan Lecture notes. Just seen a few of the videos. They seem to be more factoid based, as oppose to CMMRS, which is more story book form. Would you say its a waste of time to do both? First CMMRS, and then Kaplan Micro Lecture Notes w/ the DVD's, and solidify everything in First Aid. A little too much for 1 subject? I should note, that its my weakest subject. |

Microbiology is my weakest subject. I have bought both Kaplan and MMRS but I'm bit confused, don't know which book to read. I want to know how much time MMRS would take to finish, and how much should Kaplan take?
