If you are not going well on scores with UW, and looking for a Qbank to raise your bar and cover your defects, then come back later to UW, which should that be?
My scores on UW weren't going well so I paused it for a short while, and I wanna cover up the defects and review a bit on another Qbank to save UW for later..I think I'll only pay for one month on that "secondary" bank.. My 1st choice here is Kaplan Qbank, (according to the poll on this forum), Or do you guys think otherwise? 'cause the poll only gave results without reasons. |

Kaplan Qbank is definitely in the second place after UW.
You've done a mistake you should have done Kaplan Qbank and then switch to the UW. Anyways, you can still correct the situation as you said. Why Kaplan Qbank? It's written by douzens of experts in USMLE exams, they know what materials is high yield and many of them are in fact prior USMLE exam question writers so they know what to ask. Some people even say that Kaplan Qbank is safer than UWorld! |

I found Kaplan Q-bank too detail oriented, but its good for someone who doesn't know the details and needs to pay attention to the aforementioned details

USMLErx.com is what you want to go with. I did all 3. I found that USMLErx does a better job than kaplans questions and it uses the first aid, so it drills everything you NEED to know into your head. Then when you head back over to USMLEworld, the questions maybe different but the answers and situations are the same. USMLEworld>USMLErx>Kaplan qbank. Dr. Goljan has also said that you should be using USMLErx as well. |

Well better go with kaplan...i did the same..if u ask me kaplan really is good practice n they hv changed whole bank this yr according to exam pattern n included too many indirect Qs...that really push your mind to think a lot...
Well after doing kaplan i feel consult Qs r straight foreward...but it is really great practice bank if u hv time...but too lengthy at times....n ya its goljan approved....Qs r quite similer to UW... So for me Uw>kaplan>consult. ![]()

Seems to me as overestimated, maybe to show the bank as good and so..

I think that scorrelator is due for a major update because the questions have changed completely. I'd recommend UW>Kaplan>consult - but you should at least look at the free questions in all three.

I agree with you on that order, but what do you mean about the scorrelator? Is it really THAT inaccurate??

Is Kaplan Qbank that good? I always thought it was UW and Student Consult.

Like you guys said, it's not a matter of which bank as much as a matter of what you got out from those banks..but Kaplan has a good reputation anyway..

The old Kaplan must have been useful 5 years ago but it was useless for the current exam - the new questions they added have I think, completely changed the game for them. Much closer to UW now, I feel. I'd put it equal to consult because consult is still quite new I think...

Absolutely - thats what I meant - Kaplan is quite useful at teaching you stuff- they have these teaching tabs that are always interesting and add to their explanations - a welcome break from just reading text.
