Question Utricle/saccule/semicircular canals

What is the difference between the utricle, the saccule, and the semicircular canals of the inner ear? What type of auditory information do they each sense?

The semicircular canals, which are arranged perpendicularly, are used to detect angular or rotational acceleration of the head. (The perpendicular arrangement of canals ensures that they cover the three principal axes of head rotation.)
The otolith organs, the utricle and saccule, are used to detect linear acceleration (e.g., due to gravitational forces)
.

Thank you for your response.

Is there a difference between the utricle and the saccule, then?
