Hi USMLE Forums members!

We're excited to announce the launch of USMLEstat - a new, completely free USMLE Step 1 prep resource!

What is USMLEstat?

USMLEstat is not another question bank. Imagine a resource that has thousands of USMLE Step 1 flashcard style facts, ordered by how high-yield they are for the exam. Add in spaced repetition learning and a highly customizable and flexible interface and you've got USMLEstat

Good luck with your USMLE Step 1 prep!

Very good tool for fact review.

This flashcard based website is just what I needed for helping me remember little buggers like those nasty  sphingolipidoses. As long as the information is accurate (which it has proved to be so far), it is indeed a well designed tool :).

Suggestions:
1. add highlighting feature to notes
2. add the option of choosing more than one high yield categories (like A to A++).

Thank you USMLEStat - brilliant tool. Excellent use of technology. I have modified my schedule to dedicate a few hours week to your website.

So speedy too even on my garbage 3G - works great.

I paid for something quasi similar in USMLE-RX Flash Facts - which is awful - I almost feel scammed. USMLEStat is far better (both in content and delivery). Heck maybe you can sell your technology to the people of USMLE-RX/First Aid :D

Suggestions:
-This would be amazing tool for images - gross path, histo path, microbiology, radiology, ekg, etc**
-More factoids
-Add higher level of difficulty (use the NBMEs)
-Add IM and Step CK related topics
-Keep it simple, or.. if you do add more features, make them so users can turn them on and off
-With images, allow users to set the resolution for slow mobile use
-Give discount to your beta testers :sorry:

If the price is reasonable and content is added, I will absolutely be a subscriber over the next 2-3 years. I will give critical feedback as I use it and try to add content, but love it so far.

Amazing.....Even when you make a mistake they compare your answer to the right answer and explain. I think USMLEstat will be a great Qbank, if they make their questions two types: 1) direct questions to test the recall and knowledge of the students after they've reviewed a specific subject 2) highly clinical vignettes with labs and images that ask disease and functional mechanisms that test students' ability to apply basic medical sciences to clinical scenarios. Which Step 1 has become today. I like it, and thank you for the 6 month trial.Happy-2

A very nice revesion tool, but I am having a problem with its website, the Qbank goes blank and stops suddenly while doing questions.. that's frustrating now !! :( it gets blank just when i develop the mood of solving more questions..:mad:

Hi USMLE Forum members!

We'd just like to say thank you for your feedback over the past few weeks and give you an update on future developments.

We've been stunned by the large number of sign-ups and would like to thank everyone for taking time to evaluate USMLEstat.

Since launching a few weeks ago we've added a number of features following the request of users including:
- First Aid page reference numbers
- image based questions/facts
- review A++, A+ and A rated facts at the same time

One thing we would always like to stress is that USMLEstat is not trying to be a question bank. There are already established and trusted websites (e.g. USMLE World) which do this. USMLEstat is a new tool for you to quickly audit and improve your factual knowledge. It does this using fact-based questions, a flexible interface and spaced-repetition learning.

We'd love to hear from you on the following points:
- what high-yield topics would you like USMLEstat to test you on?
- what features should be added to the USMLEstat system?
- any other feedback would be really appreciated

Many thanks,

USMLEstat team

Just started with it. I would like to thank u guys it's a really wonderful learning tool ad I guess we r lucky that we got it in this 6 months LOL! 2 things i wanna say though. Difficulty level is too low. I found the qs really easy. More than rx even. And second is u guys should include an option of used and unused qs cuz this way they r never ending and keep on repeating! Thanks :)
