surfactant and capillary filtration force

Why does surfactant reduce capillary filtration force since it increases compliance? Increased compliance equals increased stretch of the alveoli wall, promoting increases negative inrapleural pressure. Increased negative intrapleural pressure promotes capillary filtration. Thx.

*promoting increased negative inrapleural pressure.

Surfactant inceases compliance, which increases stretch of the alveoli wall, which increases negative inrapleural pressure.

Increased negative intrapleural pressure promotes capillary filtration. Yes.
