I just finished two blocks of the first UWorld and I'm taking a break. These questions seem so different from the 'normal' Uwolrd questions. I don't know yet how many I got right or not but I'm guessing a lot of the answers which doesn't make me very comfortable.
Any input on how accurate this questions are in terms of comparing them to the real Step1.
I just don't understand how they can be so much more difficult than the daily blocks I've been taking at UWorld.
I found the exam questions to be very well-written and crystal clear. You either know the answer or you don't. There were some strange questions, but they were very few, and I guess they were experimental. UW, on the other hand, always keeps you confused between 2 answers, and so you have to guess.
I'd say don't take UW too seriously when it comes to self-assessment. Try NBME forms for that. UW is great for learning, but the questions - I mean many of them - are just too twisted.
Hey the same thing happened to me, I was pumped up because my avg on UW was high and then I took the first SA and surprise an awful score, to be honest, I don't think that they are very predictable, however the type of questions are very similar to the real Step 1 ( you know the answer.. but its actually not there.. right?). So if you really want something predictable take NBME #15, and the truth is that the questions on UW are waaay more difficult than the actual test. I just took Step 1 like 6 wks ago, my SA scores 1= 206 and 2 = 211, NMBE= 241, and my actual score= 256!!! So don't stress about the score you have on the Qbanks and SA, instead realize that actually now learn a lot! embrace that and my best tip for the test is = TRUST YOURSELF! and keep it up

Its funny you guys USWA under predicted compared to NMBEs, mines overpredicted. I got exactly a 206 on USWA=1, and got a lower score on NBMEs. It is really weird.
Can you guys plz share your average and uwsa .so we can compare
