Post and Poll Options were last updated on November 6th, 2013.

In this poll we vote for the Best Ethics and Medico-legal Issues review book specific for the USMLE Exams.

Choice of Books Listed in the Poll
You will notice that larger textbooks of medical ethics are not listed here, we are voting for those books that are specifically useful for the USMLE exam prep (Step 1, Step 2 CK, and Step 3 Exams).
The books listed above are useful for Med school students during their med school years as well as graduates who are preparing for the step 1 exam.

Books that have only questions with no review of medical ethics are not listed.
Books that are outdated (8 years or older) and that do not have updated editions also get removed from the poll, their votes are also deleted in the process.
If we have missed a Medical Ethics Review book, please post about it in the mainstream Step 1 Forum and we'll add it to this poll.
You will also noticed that Behavioral Sciences Books are listed in the poll above, this is because the topic of Medical Ethics is often discussed in behavioral sciences books but please when you vote here, vote only for the ethics portions of these books.

No Replies!
You will also notice that we move away or delete replies to this thread. This is because we want the focus on the poll above rather than discussion and comments. You can always check our Medicolegal-Ethics Tag for discussions about medical legal and ethics prep and books for the USMLE exams.

Who should vote?
Please do not vote if you haven't used any of the books above. Artificial inflation of votes by book authors publishers will be detected and removed. Votes that are older than 18 months are automatically deleted.

Why books are linked in the poll options?
Book links are periodically updated to the latest editions and will take you to Amazon pages where you can purchase those books. Books that are not available in Amazon cannot be listed.

To find out about other Best Books for USMLE Review, please check our Best Books Page. In that page you will also find list of latest editions.

Happy voting!

2 different Conrad Fischer Medical Ethics books

There seems to be 2 types of Conrad Fischer Medical Ethics books:

1. Master the Boards USMLE Medical Ethics: The Only USMLE Ethics High-Yield Review (which is recommended here)

2. Medical Ethics for the Boards

They're both 3rd edition, written by the same authors, have the same chapter titles which are also in the same order, have the exact number of total pages but different covers, titles and ISBN-10/-13 numbers.

Does anyone know if they're the same or different? Another version perhaps? And if number 2 is the new one, is that recommended for step 1?

As far as I know, different ISBN numbers indicate that they're not the same book.

Apparently, they're two different books then...
