Smile Red Currant Jelly

This is a very famous buzzword used by medical professionals to denote a thick red viscous semi-fluid material.

It's originated from the red tart and black berries used primarily to make jams and jellies.

If you see the word "Red Currant Jelly"
Think of one of these two conditions

1- Klebsiella pneumoniae infection that produces redcurrant jelly like sputum.
2- Intussusception (specially in children) that produces redcurrant jelly-like stools because of intestinal obstruction and hemorrhage.
