hello , i am new here and i have absolutely no idea about any thing can any body at least tell me that can we appear in step 2 exam before 1 and how do we register for it ?

Yes you can take any of the steps in any order barring step 3 for which u need ecfmg certification (u get that after u clear step 1, 2 ck and cs).
Please visit usmle.org for all details pertaining to the examination and read the current information bulletin as to how to apply. You need to first register on ecfmg.org for the usmle ID and then the rest of the procedure through ecfmg oasis. Good luck!

Yes like the other poster said order doesn't matter. You will have to register with the Ecfmg first. They give you some forms your school fills out and then mails in or you mail in if you're a graduate. Then you can apply and pay for the Step 1/2 exams online. You pick a 3 month period in which you want to write the exam. And when you're done you will get a scheduling permit in a few days. You can use the scheduling number on the permit to pick a date at a Prometric center close to you.
