Advice!!!!

This time I'm not seeking advice, I'm actually gonna give an advice , I know it's been brought up in this forum before but I thought it would be of no harm saying it again , Don't take CK before step 1 .
after almost being done with ck , 3 months away from the exam , with the total time of 11 months or so I realized that it was a big mistake taking the ck before step 1 , although it can be done with a good score of course but it was exhausting trying to understand a lot of stuff that I found out it would've been a piece of cake & wouldn't take so long if I've already taken step 1 , so instead of taking 11 months doing the stupid ck , I'd have been done with it in 4 moths or so like everyone I know who took step 1 first , but if anybody is already taking ck first & already started like myself , I'm not trying to shoot you down or anything , this advice is only for people who haven't started yet.
