Question step 2 ck 250

Hello,

Just recieved my step 2 ck score of a 250.
I am an IMG and wanted to share my experience here .This forum has been a great guide .

study time:5 months.
resources:
Kaplan step 2 ck videos:reviewed all the important high yield topics once.took almost 20 days.
Kaplan high yield Internal medicine:went through this once ,its a good source to renew the basics.
Master the boards 2 a pretty good resource for internal medicine.
Master the boards 3:A must for other subjects pychiatry, obg and pediatrics.
Uworld:the most important and the best resource for step 2 ck,I cant emphasize its importance more.I annotated all the points of uworld in my MTBs.Uworld should be used as a resource more than a qbank for Ck.

NBME 7:40 days beforethe exam 230
UWSA:252 3 weeks before the exam.
I felt that the NBME question pattern was a little vague

USWA predicted my score pretty accurately.

Hoping to get into a IM residency,I would really appreciate it if any of you would tell me about my chances.

hope this thread helps all those preparing for the ck.please let me kno if you have any more questions,I would be happy to ans them.

all the best .

Hey,

I would suggest you review your weak subjects, the nbme performance graph can be used as a tool for this, once u have identified your weak areas review them, you can do some random blocks of uworld, this worked for me.Thou people use different study strategies, figure out what works best for you.
And then you can do a nbme or uwsa to assess yourself again.

Hope this helps.

Congrats on your score. Do you mind sharing when you tested and when you received your score report? Trying to get a sense for the current turnaround.

Thanks!

first of all congratulations on a great score

I am planning on doing online med ed with MTB2 and MTB 2 videos along with uworld and all nbme shelves and assesments.

what do you think about that plan? I want to avoid kaplan because its so detailed and to long. I just finished step 1 so I have a solid foundation that has helped me get a strong start.

I want to get 245+

Hey sorry for the Late reply, you must have finished your exam by now.
If not then here goes......
Sounds like a decent plan to me .
I found some topics in kaplan LN was very good.Specially some IM TOPICS.
And Mtb 3 for pediatrics and ob.

Take the UWSE with the NBMEs.

All the best.

Nbme 7: 230 ,40 days before
Nbme 4: 240 ,4 weeks before
I felt the USWE had a better correlation of scores for me.
