Hello everyone.. got my results today, 241. Thanks to GOD, my family and to everyone on this forum.
Prep time- 4 months (1 month on and off, last 3 months serious prep) started with kaplan lecture notes, did once- not much useful as I forgot everything MTB2 - 2x, some topics 3x MTB3 - gynobs, peds, psychiatry. UWORLD - 2.5x in and out (the most imp prep material) Self Assessments NBME2 - 5weeks before exam- 208, even though I had only 30 Qs wrong UWSA- 216, 15 days before exam, very silly mistakes. Free 150- 85% Did not get a date in my city, so had to travel a day before. Exam day - Exam was not tough, it was lengthy. The only limiting factor was TIME. I am a fast reader, so had 15 mins left out after every block, to go through all the marked Qs. But later after the exam I had doubts if I even read the Q correctly. Be ready to read the Q stems FAST and mark the answer, as you will not have time to look at the Q again. I felt some Q were vague, which needs to have basic knowledge. For one Q, based on murmurs, my headphones did not work, but marked it as it was easy and evident. Last block was 28 Qs, but were like any other block Qs, not very hard as was told. Q-distribution Drug abstracts and drug ads- 4-5 in total, very easy.. not even as hard as Uworld.. so chill guys Medicine- 70% , for me most Qs were diagnosis and management Peds Gynobs, surgery, psychiatry Murmurs- 3-4 EKGs- 3 Glycogen storage, lysosomal storage, immune deficiency disorders- NONE I want to tell that its not a hard exam. Be ready to read the Qs once and mark the answer. Time management is the key. I did it having a 8 months old baby and in laws at my place, so everyone of us can do it .. ![]() |

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!! I have a 6 month old son and it has been challenging to study with him. What did you do the last 3 weeks before the exam? How long did it take you to review uworld questions after doing them? Reviewing questions takes up so much time! Any advice that you can provide is appreciated.

@mycoplasma- I was studying uworld tutor mode and mtb2/3 topic wise- like hepat/renal uworld and mtb same topics. skipped the concepts which I knew . @queen216- I understand the situation with a baby at home !! last 3 weeks was the same thing, first I made sure I knew all concepts from uworld and final days I did both uworld and mtb simultaneously. @renaissance- lol !!! I had no choice and I dint wan lose confidence taking another self assessment, as there was no option of postponement.. kind of took a chance. hope this helps ![]() ![]() |

That's a tremendous achievement !! most ppl get around what they scored on the Uwsa or the nbme's. But kudos to you for scoring like more than 20 points on the actual exam.
hope this happens to all of us too ![]() |

uwsa 15days out and scored 216? then scored 240 on the exam? what did u do in that time? or do you just feel like the uwsa underpredicted?

im not surprised! Your free 150 was 85% which from what i have seen on this website is usually around the 240-250 ranges!! UWSA is pretty accurate i would agree! Which i hope is true lol, 5 days before exam i had 234 but during my actual exam i made some stupid mistakes!! ugh they forever haunt me! my free 150 was 82%
congratulations on the great score!

I guess the 150 Q's can be used as a rough ballpark "low-stress" assessment.
Thanks for the post |

I did not do kaplan Q bank, and uworld, starting few blocks I did in test mode scoring in 70%-75% around, later shifted to tutor mode ... mostly I used it as study tool rather than testing tool and read the explanations in and out. 2nd time around it was 88%-90%
