Post and Poll Options were last updated on September 16th, 2013.

In this poll we vote for the Best Online USMLE Step 2 CS Courses.

The courses listed above are useful for Med school students during their med school years as well as graduates who are preparing for the step 2 CS exam. Step 2 CS online courses that do not have websites or those that seem illegitimate are not listed in the poll. If we have missed an online Step 2 CS course, please post about it in the mainstream Step 2 CS Forum and we'll add it to this poll.

You will also notice that we move away or delete replies to this thread. This is because we want the focus on the poll above rather than discussion and comments. You can always check our Step 2 CS Courses Tag for discussions about live and online courses for the Step 2 CS Exam.

Please do not vote if you haven't used any of the courses above. Artificial inflation of votes by commercial companies will be detected and removed. Votes that are older than 18 months are automatically deleted. Companies that advertise with us do not have any advantage in this poll and we will actually ban companies from advertising with us if we detect artificial inflation of the vote.

Course links are periodically updated to the latest websites.

CSEvideos SUCKS....

It does not matter what videos you get. Go for whatever you want EXCEPT CSEvideos. They are thieves with license. I heard tons of complaints before I purchase from them but I didn't listen to my friends and now I regret it. 70% of their physical exams are wrong, they just COMPLETELY copy/paste the FA (yes 100% copy/paste, they did not even change the names, jobs, scenarios) and upload some crap online with NO customer service. Their phone number is busy no matter when you call, they intentionally make it busy, you can try , go ahead and dial this number now, 845-632-0592. I really even doubt that lady in these videos is a physician, she can't pronounce most of the medical terms and most of physical exams are wrong and makes you fail your CS. Put stethoscope on completely wrong places (listen to renal artery just mm close to Illiac of crest), don't change gloves after touching the SPs soles and immediately touches the SPs face (this will fail you in real exam) and so on. Thank god I passed, but they are making a horrible job and I just wanted to let you know. There are some other companies with cheaper and most reliable videos that I don't wanna advertise for them.Good luck

csevideo is an excellent course based on my experience with the program
here are some good reviews and everyone at my school uses it and everytime I call them they answer the phone even at midnight and take alot of time on the phone wit me to answer all kinds of questions, I know several people have passed using csevideo with fa here are the other posts of people who recommend it. good luck to all taking the exams.

IMG passed in LA..
Hi everyone, I had my result one week ago and thanks god I passed.
I prepared for like a month, passed through first aid 4-5 times ( including mini cases), watched the CSEvedios, practiced online with 2 guys who I met here and practiced live like half of the FA cases. I had no problem with notes typing.
I was the only IMG in LA, in the first case I was nervous and it was a tuff case, I ran out of time and couldn't do the closure. 2nd and 3rd cases were difficult also but I tried to be quick and finished just on time. after that I was kindda relieved and started to concentrate better.
I had like 2 incomplete notes (one of them I had only 2 DD) but did most of the counseling and PE well.
Honestly, I was nervous most of the time after the exam till I got my result I got higher performance in SEP and ICE, and just above borderline in CIS

Good luck guys..

Ran out of time but passed
I ran out of time at least twice but I always counseled the patient as soon as they had a problem occurred. For example, if the patient smoked I suggested that they quit, if they were promiscuous I told them to use condoms. When I typed the patient note I started with ddx first then did history & typed the physical last. My first case was my hardest because I kept running out of time.

I studied first aid, kaplan and, CSEVIDEO, uworld. I practiced typing notes all the time. I practice with partners 5 days a week for 6 weeks. I had 1 live partner I practiced with 1x.

My advice. Use first aid book, CSEVIDEO, practice with a partner & practice typing with a timer. You can do it

I really doubt about CSEVideo.

CSEVideo is very popular among students. I also subscribed it for several months and very disappointed of it and regret it.

1. POOOOOOOOR video/audio quality:
The volume is too low even on maximum volume. They recorded it without an individual microphone.

2. Too difficult to use on multiple devices:
They are too worried about sharing the service among students or doctors. So even the legal users cannot use them with two different devices if I forgot to log out from the original device. And for me, even though I logged out, I still cannot log on to another device. Furthermore, don't expect any help from them. They NEVER give you a reply except for things about purchasing or price before you buy it.

3. Too fast, not relevant questions:
I admit it follows FA well. But to ask all the questions on the table and do all the P/Es in the book, the doctor in there do them in a SUPER high speed.

4. Wrong P/Es:
Search for verified references and compare them with this.

If you're worried about the CS exam, I recommend CSEVideo just for 1 week just to taste how the exam goes. I'd rather give one point to UWorld CS.

How I passed the USMLE Step 2
CS with CSE Video and got stars

As I went to prepare for the cs I could not find any really good study material or at least nothing that was a direct hit to what the exam was going to be like, I read mixed reviews on every company out there live courses, online, tutors etc. I decided to go with CSE Video for 4 months and my actual exam experience was a mirror reflection of what I watched in CSE Videos. I have been asked by several people what I used so I decided to write this up.
I sat for my cs exam in los Angeles in May and got my results in July 2018
I am 2nd career American student, and I did my med school in the Caribbean, although they give us some classes nothing extensive on the cs exam, I was concerned about my ability to pass on the first attempt.

A little about me, I am retired accountant and wanted to do something different. At my age it was hard to get through med school and all the required studies and exams. But being a single dad and really wanted a different lifestyle in terms of the work I do, I decided to go to a Caribbean medical school and Iím glad I did.

CSE Video with the first aid paid off big time, I passed with stars and while I was taking the exam I was confident despite my minimal history in the medical field. I am writing this post because I think a lot of people struggle with the right material for the cs and I can say based on my score result and my experience you cant go wrong with CSE Video and the first aid, any edition of the fa will work. You welcomed to ask any questions Iím happy to help the 2018 videos are top of line
Good luck
