hi all ,
i got my step 3 result yesterday . it's 228 !
my uwsa = 580/235
usmle sim.test = 78%
nbme 2 = 290 ( that one i messed up b/c of nerves )
nbme 3 = 600 .
so there is a bit of correlation, give or take 5-7 points ( as in my case ).
i prepared in 2 months along with clinical externships twice a week. i read kaplan lecture notes for CK, touched here and there on MTB-ck, did uw mcqs timed mode twice and uw CCS cases 3 times.
Step 3 exam 1st day was really hard in context to managing time as there were 47-48 questions/block although i had always practiced in timed mode. 2nd day was a breeze. the mcqs were doable, 36 questions in 45 mins/block and CCS cases went fast. I got out 1 1/2 hr earlier. I had a good feeling about my CCS cases when i was done .
best of luck to everyone going through this final step in usmle journey.
UWorld(timed,random,unused)-59%
Never did the Nbme or UWSA.
Sources:MTB2&3,Kaplan lecture notes.not in a residency yet.
Real score:221(first day sucked, the second day was almost perfect, honestly my CCS score was high so that is what saved me)
Hi everyone ,
I am in a pickle here. I took CS n CK n have not taken step 1 yet! Can anyone who took the exam on saturday tell me whether they got their result by third wednesday?
I tried scheduling my exam sooner but there is no date avalaible until 10/18 ( sat), i really need the score latest by 11/5( wed).... I know they say if u take the exam between wed to fri it comes on the third wednesday n if u take on monday/tuesdayt comes on the fourth wednesday... There is no accurate data/ post about exam takers on saturdays...
Please someone who has taken either step 1 or CK on a Saturday please give me accurate info.. Im going crazy here.. Thanks a lot
Passed 204
UW average:61%
Nbme 2:340
Nbme3:360
UWSA: 210
Honestly thought i would fail ...messed up real bad in 2 ccs cases.Thank God i passed......im Done!!
UW average 70% random tutor mode (unused) + random timed (wrong answers)
Didn't take any self assessment...
final score: 217
I think there is correlation with step 2CK/step1 scores.
Goodbye USMLE!!!
nbme form 2 - 530 online
uwsa - 220 (did it 1 month before exam)
uworld qbank average - 68% unrepeated, timed mode
kaplan qbank average - 72% unrepeated, timed mode
real exam: 232
***Practice CCS software so you get comfortable with it. My rationale is that even to be an awesome sniper in Ghost Recon, you'll have to play the game a whole lot so think of the CCS software as a game. )
Congratulations completing all the steps! What did you do to spike your score from 220 to 232 in the real deal? I have mine coming up in less than 2 weeks. I scored a 217 in UWSA today and I don't know how the real thing is scored. Thanks.
Took Step 3 in 2/2015 (new exam format) ---took CK/CS in 2013, step 1 in 2012
Prep - 1 to 1.5 month during internship --- half wards/night float rotation with 12 days vacation for intensive study, 4 days for CCS
Materials: UWorld, MTB step 3, Uworld CCS
UW score - around 62% cumulative, did not have enough time to finish ~30% of questions, did timed random separate ACM and FIP throughout
UWSA - got discouraged one day before exam
NBME - not done
Exam Score 234

Today I did NMBE form 3 and I scored 480! I did UWSA one month ago and I scored 480 as well. Where is the problem? I am reviewing Uworld and MTB3 and my exam is on May 11. Looking for advice on what to do over the next 2 weeks to improve my performance. Thank you.
