Bad NBME Score

hello guys!!

i am done with step 1, 2 cs and ck and am apllying for match..
i have no u s clinical experience and have chosen a date for step 3 on sept 24.....i have been preparing only for the last one month with uworld and kaplan CS notes

i got a really horrible score on nbme form 2 (220/800) and so if compared to the approximate scores of step 3 exam it turns out to be around 137....

am i calculating right or is the score correlation of step 3 is different from steps 1 and 2 on nbme???

is it wise to try giving the exam in the next two months or to forget it for now and worry about it at the end of residency .
better to concentrate on application for match now rite??

Do you know how to find the distractors in the questions and the pointers that help you pick the right answer? This is boost your score tremendously. If you need help in doing so, we can help you.
As for applying for residency and taking Step 3 before hand - -some residency programs prefer that you have not done step 3 when you apply and some don't mind.

Why do you say some programs prefer you to not have step 3?
I know that some don't care but I have not heard of a single one that preferes that you don't have it?!

I don't know about nbme as I have never taken them, not for a single step. I always did UWSE and that's what I intend to do this time, too. I have step 3 in one month, still trying to finish studying. I'm applying to the match, too, and I'm taking step 3 because I want to have it now (I don't need it), so during residency I can focus on what I have to learn then and at the end focus on the specialty boards.
I did KLN step 2 CK and MTB 3 along with UW, both MCQ and CCS. What were you score in the Q-bank? How are you managing CCS?
CCS is a big issue for me. I get it right but I run out of time or have trouble finding the right orders sometimes, so I'll need some more practice there for sure!

When students are part of a program and they take step 3 and do really well, it looks good on the program

but if you take step 3 and do really well before residency, and the programs accept you...wouldnt that look good for the program anyway????
