Hi!

I'm an about-to-graduate medical student from Belgium. Monday is the step 1 exam and frankly...I am freaking out. Did UWSA1 couple of days ago and scored 235.

Is this enough? Is there still a chance I will fail?

I'm just putting it out there. Any response is very much appreciated

Well...I started out being happy to pass.

But today I guess 220 would be a very acceptable score for me. I don't feel like I'm ready, simply because I keep forgetting stuff. I didn't do NBME. In retrospect this would have been a better choice :)

I don't think it really matters at this point. Tomorrow is D-Day. I guess I'll just take a beta blocker to keep cool :)

I never thought it would be this stressful. I will post my score as soon as I get my results..

Thanks for the responds

As someone mentioned, an NBME exam at this point is critical. You clearly have the capacity to get a good score, but if you are aiming for an extremely competitive residency then you should determine where you're truly at and capable of right now. An NBME exam contains real USMLE questions and will give you the best and most accurate prediction of what you will score.

Don't forego this very important tool, it is a small price to pay in the long run of your career.

Best of luck.
