During an experiment, the following data were obtained from an anesthetized dog: mean glomerular capillary hydrostatic pressure – 45, mean Bowman space hydrostatic pressure – 12, mean glomerular capillary oncotic pressure – 23, mean Bowman space oncotic pressure – 0, coefficient of filtration (Kf) – 3, renal blood flow – 200, Hct – 40%. Which of the following best represents the glomerular filtration rate in this animal?
(a) 30 (b) 50 (c) 90 (d) 120 (e) 180

GFR= kf((pg-pb)-(Ig-ib))
= 3(45-12-23)
= 3(10)
= 30

yes they are both right. answer is A.

although i have a question, how long did it take u guys to calculate the answer? it took me a good minute as i had to write down which was Pc, Pi, etc... i feel like a real grandma taking so much time to answer.

i just calculated in my mind , heheh i m good at math so didnt take more than 35 sec ,but i dont think 1 min is a prob still u did it on time ( less than whatever time got for 1 question)
