Hi Every Body.
Before few days I got my result n it wz 99. Am too happy to have it because I was expecting a bit less score. Well I wanted to share my experience if it could help any body to get as much score then I'll feel great pleasure.

Duration I took to prepare=14months. I studied all subjects from Kaplan except pathology which I did from Goljan pathology....n listened all kaplan lectures n Goljan audio lectures too. It took me about 4 months for my first read. I don't know why it did too long, though I used to study at least 8-10 hrs a day.

Then did second read...n with 3rd read I did USMLE World question bank. At dat time I thought I did a mistake, it wz better to do U.World with 2nd read.....

By the end of 3rd read wen I also finished UW n got 60-65% u.world score, I did NBME 6 n disappointingly I got score 440 which z equivalent to 210\89. As I wz expecting at least above 99. NBME made me realized though I've read all stuff with such a good concept n knowledge bt am nt upto the mark of USMLE...n only one month wz left in exam and I wz nt in position to delay my exam.

Then in last 30 days I decided to do a rapid revision of all subjects. It wz a bit hard. I had to study at least 18 hours a day n secondly due to NBME my confidence wz shaken. So I finished this reading about 4 days before exam. Then again I decided to give NBME bcz i felt ds read hd made my level much gud. So i did NBME 7...n desperately again I got 440...it really made me cry. I wz in situation nt to delay exam bcz it requires at least 4 working days....

Day before exam I did rest n tried hard to relax my mind...n also tried to sleep early bt as every body says dat at dat night candidates ve high anxiety level so hard to sleep....bt after a great effort i fell sleep n had 4 hour sleep before exam....Then reached at Prometric center one hour before exam....I had red bull, chocolates n few sandwiches with me.Exam wz nt as much tough as u.world.i did 3 blocks widout a break then took 20 min break.n then did two blocks n then a break n then last two blocks.

When I came out of the center I wz thinking I could nt do it as best as I wz expecting from my prep....perhaps it wz bcz NBME 6 n 7 consecutive same scores made me sure dat my level z upto 87-89. Then after three weeks my result really made me scream a lot...bczzz it wz 229\99:happy:. Oh My God...it was very much unexpected buy I think I got more than rewarded of my efforts.

At the end; my message for step 1 candidates is to study consistently n have firm belief in their efforts...Bcz hard work always rewards.....

Congratulations.. your hard work over this time has paid off.. all the best for step II. :):):)

I just took NBME 6 today, and i am very surprised, i got predicted 236 on NBME 3 about 3 weeks ago and got the SAME score on NBME 6, despite being much better prepared..my UW is also at 70pc
t average.. so. the form might be an underestimate.

hard work always pays.

I am very happy for a complete stranger.....
u did an awesome job. i appreciate your sincere effort.
i have a piece of advice for those who are preparing for exams... there is a quote in sanskrit...
"karmanye vadhika raste
ma phaleshu kadachana
ma karma phala hetu bhurba
te sangostav karmani"

which basically means that we have to work hard not worrying about the result or outcome of the deed.
if we work hard ''SINCERELY'' we will be rewarded with what we deserve.
it is my personal opinion that it works for any exam preparation.
i strongly believe that ''all that has to happen is already destined.... we only can change the way it happens''.
finally... WORK HARD, HAVE SELF-BELIEF, DONT WORRY ABOUT THE RESULT.
congrats to you doctor queen. all the best for your future.
goodluck everyone...:)

Hi dr queen. Impressed by yr score. Actualy im in d same boat. Im waiting 4 result, hope2get on 29th. I did nbme ofline with 7 to 8 wrong per block. So average 168 to 171 per 200 ques. My exam was hard. When i came out, i was thinking dat i hv nt done as i prepared. On 2nd day i recalld 17 ques out of which 4 were wrong, 13 right. Dnt knw abt other ques. So rightnw so much tensed whether i can reach 99 or not, same as u.
Hope that yr history wl b repeated in my case.
