varus and valgus

a 'vulgar' woman has her legs spread outward(valgus)

 

maybe this just works for my brain.. i spell it - Genu va ll gus... and i think of both the l's as legs put together. .. so knock knees ( knees together)

by default varus is the opposite.

 

best mnemonic so far!!! now I dont confuse them again, thanks!!

i remember these as word-direction wise,

valgus= vulgur = outward going
varus by default inward going

varus STRESS= inward Stress = to check LATERAL lig tear.
